What’s new in the CHR

Creating new prescriptions when stopping a medication

You can now stop and create a new prescription at the same time. This is helpful when for example, you want to discontinue an ineffective medication and at the same time prescribe a new one.

When you stop a medication, from the confirmation window that appears, click Stop & Create New RX.

To prescribe a new medication, click + Add Medication. The prescription pad window appears with the stopped medication at the top. From here you can add new medications.

Enhancements for recording and displaying user names

We added first, middle and last name fields to the user profile information section of the CHR. When signing up for an account or updating your user profile information, you must now add your first and last name and an optional middle name.

Additionally, we replaced the Full Name field with the Display Name field which appears anywhere in the CHR where your name is mentioned, including on prescriptions.

📌 Note: The first, middle and last name entries automatically pre-fill the Display Name field when you click outside the areas. We recommend that you don't manually change the display name.

Manitoba - Accessing eChart from patient charts

As of November 14, you can access eChart Manitoba directly from a patient’s chart. eChart Manitoba provides a patient's key health information, such as dispensed prescriptions, lab results, immunizations and more from various disparate systems.

In the dashboard view of a patient’s chart, click Echart.

For more information, see Accessing eChart Manitoba from the CHR.

Fixes

  • In Schedules:

    • Clicking an available time slot only shows one appointment draft.

    • The appointment booking window no longer changes location after selecting a patient.

    • Booked virtual visit appointments are no longer displayed as double booked.

  • When printing prescriptions, providers' lengthy credentials, e.g. M.D. C.F.P.C. Ph.D, no longer overlap the footer of the printout.

  • All active medications with the same strength but different dosages are now shown in the Medications list.
