Inviting a guest to a virtual visit
Updated today

⚠️ Important: This is a new feature being rolled out in phases. If you would like to start using TELUS CHR Connect, contact chrconnectsupport@telus.com.

There may be times when you need to have multiple people join one virtual visit call. Some common reasons are:

  • A patient wants to include their caregiver, so that they can provide support, extra information and help with any post-visit actions.

  • A patient wants to invite another health practitioner to collaborate on their presenting issue.

  • A provider wants another provider at their clinic to join the virtual visit, so that they can work together to provide better care.

The TELUS CHR Connect app allows for providers or patients to invite a maximum of ten guests to a call.

📌 Notes:

  • For security reasons, the guest link can only be used once.

  • The visit can only be associated with one patient.

  • Guests can access CHR Connect via the desktop version (https://chrconnect.telushealth.com) or by downloading the app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Refer to our patient-facing article on how to get started: Setting up TELUS CHR Connect.

💡 Tip: Multiple providers from the same clinic can join the same virtual visit without being invited as a guest. They can join the visit from the pathway card like they normally do. When the first provider joins the virtual visit, the second provider sees Join Video Chat on the pathway card instead of Start Video Chat.
