Categorizing preventive care patient files

Preventive care management (National)

Updated over 9 months ago

⚠️ Important: This is currently a beta feature. It will be available once the beta period is complete.

The CHR has the following preconfigured standard patient file names for preventive care measures:

  • Mammogram Screening

  • Diagnostic Mammogram

  • FIT Test

  • Colonoscopy

  • Pap Smear

  • Gynecology Cytology

Every general practitioner clinic has these pre-loaded. If you do not see them in your CHR account, contact the TELUS Health support team through the support chat.

When adding files related to preventive care compliance to the patient chart, select the standard file name of that preventive care measure from the list. Then, set the date to when the test was performed.

⚠️Important: In the future, the system will pull information from three different areas in the patient chart, namely Patient Files, Labs, and Patient Data. The system will use the latest information to report on compliance.

Steps

1. Upload a patient file from your computer to a patient chart.

2. In the Upload File window that appears, in the File Name field, remove the default file name.

3. Click the magnifying glass to search for and select one of the preconfigured preventive care test file names.

4. Add additional text after the standard file name if required

⚠️Important: These preconfigured file names must appear first in the file naming so that in the future the system can report accurately on compliance by pulling information from three different areas in the patient chart, namely Patient Files, Labs, and Patient Data.

5. In the Date field, modify the date to reflect the date the test was performed.

📌Note: The Date field defaults to the current date. The date when the file is uploaded is saved separately.
