Improvements
Streamlined splitting of multi-page PDFs from your inbox
📌Note: TELUS Health must manually enable this feature following the release. It could take up to 24 hours before you see the functionality.
It is now easier to split unassigned multi-page PDFs and image files from the Inbox into separate documents. Instead of deleting the pages to split a document, you can now specify which page or page range should be assigned to each patient in a single step.
For example, when splitting a hospital report that references two patients, you assign pages 1-3 and 5 to one patient and page 4 to another patient, all within a streamlined workflow.
From your inbox, open an unassigned PDF document and, in the top-right corner, click the red magnifying glass icon. Then, click Split document to initiate the process.
For more details, refer to Splitting unassigned documents from the Inbox.
📌Note: To split documents that are already filed to the Patient Files section of a chart, for example, when you manually upload a document for one patient, use the built-in PDF editor. For more information, refer to Splitting patient documents from patient charts.
Editing patient documents attached to a signed encounter
In addition to the recent improvement of editing attached patient documents from an encounter, you can now edit and annotate PDF files even after the encounter has been signed. You can also modify the attached document’s information like adding file tags or changing the file name. You can also edit a document attached to a signed encounter from the Patient Files section.
New Diagnosis column in Encounters section
There is now a Diagnosis column in the Encounters section of patient charts so you can easily view and search for encounters based on diagnosis, especially when the presenting issue is missing or inaccurate.
The Diagnosis column is displayed by default next to the Concern (presenting issue) column. You can view the complete diagnosis using a tooltip if it does not fit in the configured space.
Improvements to infant record management in Obstetrical Care
We made improvements to the organization and management of infant records within the Pregnancy result section of Obstetrical Care:
Each added infant is now displayed in a distinct subsection with a delete icon, to clear and reset infant fields as needed.
We added a new Name field to the Infants section.
When documenting a multiple birth pregnancy, you now click + New Infant instead of +Record additional infant.
Additionally, if you delete a pregnancy record, a visual indicator shows Revised on with the date of the last deletion in the bottom-right of the Obstetrical Care section. To view the history, click Open activity log to access the patient chart activity logs, where you can find the deleted pregnancy information.
Refer to Recording a pregnancy result for more details.
CHR Connect: Hiding clinic contact information
📌Note: This feature must be configured by the TELUS CHR Support account.
For clinics using CHR Connect, by default, patients can see your clinic’s contact information (from Settings > Account information) in the Profile section of CHR Connect. If you do not want this information displayed to patients, for example, if it contains a private phone number or email address, you can hide it.
To disable the View contact information setting, contact the Support team.
For more information, refer to TELUS Collaborative Health Record Connect Settings.
Fixes
Below is a list of bugs we have identified and fixed in this release. For more information, contact our TELUS Health support team.
Users are automatically logged out of the CHR when their timeout duration is set to 4 hours or longer.
In an encounter, in the Attachments section, you can make additional edits or annotations to a PDF after initially editing the PDF. Each version of the PDF appears in the Attachment section with the latest version displayed at the top of the list.
When a patient completes a Qnaire from their device, or you complete it from an encounter, if a mandatory question is unanswered, users are directed to the unanswered questions after acknowledging the warning message.
In Settings > Personal Information, the tooltips for Licence number and Billing number now display the text as expected.
Only users with the Create Encounter permission can initiate encounters and users with the Patients permissions can view encounters.
For clinics using Healthcare Directory, when a Qnaire is set to have patient responses updated automatically in the patient chart, the Preferred Pharmacy widget in a patient’s chart correctly auto-populates with the patient’s response again.
For clinics using Healthcare Directory, if the Family Doctor and Referring Practitioner widgets are auto-populated with a patient response, the Healthcare Directory label displays again.
Alberta: In an encounter in the Billing section, if you initiate an AB WCB report and change the Payment Issuer or the Billing Practitioner & Provider, a warning window appears, indicating that modifying these fields will result in the loss of the AB WCB report.
British Columbia: You can open and read a Fraser Health Authority medical imaging report from the Patient Files section of a chart again.
