Improvements
Viewing preferred patient names in tasks
Patient names now appear in tasks according to your preferences in Settings > Personal Information > Preferences > Patient name making it easier to identify and address patients correctly.
Validating patient demographics
When you save and validate updates in the Update Patient window, the Last validated date now appears at the bottom left corner of the window.
Updated billing permission label
The Public Billing settings permission label is renamed to Billing Configuration Management to accurately reflect its true scope. This permission controls access to billing configuration, including billing status options, integrations, default billing behaviours, and both public and private billing settings.
Enhanced Stripe payment processing
When processing payments through a Stripe terminal and the CHR times out while the terminal is still processing, you now receive a more accurate message instead of a generic error. The system now waits one minute before timing out and directs you to verify the payment in your Stripe dashboard, preventing duplicate charges.
TELUS Health Connect: Sending payment link for bills to patients without a Connect account
Clinics with Stripe integration can now generate and send Stripe payment links to patients, even if they don't have a Connect account. This provides a convenient way for clinics to collect payments for both private and insured bills. When creating a bill, select Payment link (Stripe) as a payment method. This generates a unique Stripe payment link for the outstanding bill amount, which can be sent to patients via email or SMS. The payment link displays key information like the clinic name, amount due, and invoice number.
For more information, refer to Collecting payments from patient charts or via online payment using Stripe.
eClaims: New license issuers and insurers
For clinics using TELUS Health eClaims, we added insurers and licensing authorities to the license issuer list for associate and independent practitioners. We also updated the fee code list with the following change:
Fee code 1.xx.13 (Treatment) is now available to practitioners with the role of Occupational Therapist.
Agentic AI: Family history agent
📌Notes:
This feature is available exclusively to clinics subscribed to CHR AI-powered features.
There is a monthly fee for CHR AI-powered features based on usage. Contact the TELUS Health Sales team for more information (refer to Contact us).
Agentic AI uses intelligent automation to observe your work, identify opportunities, and suggest helpful actions, reducing your documentation time while maintaining complete patient histories.
For all clinics using CHR AI-powered features, the new family history AI agent scans your encounter notes as you document patient visits. When you add information to the History section of an encounter in the CHR, the agent works in the background, detects key family history details and presents suggestion badges below the History section.
You can review each suggestion and accept or dismiss it individually, or handle multiple suggestions at once. This ensures you maintain control over what enters the patient chart.
For more information, refer to Using the family history AI agent.
Family Medicine New Brunswick (FMNB)
Family Medicine New Brunswick (FMNB), a team-based practice and payment model, is now integrated into the CHR.
The new FMNB Rostering dashboard is accessible from the Billing dashboard and provides two dedicated tabs for managing patient roster assignments. The Roster Information tab shows automatic daily updates from New Brunswick Health's central registry, including patient roster entries, provider assignments, and sync status. The Provider Configuration tab gives you access to current FMNB provider configurations, including Provider IDs, reduction overrides, and group membership details.
You can now view and manage patient roster status directly in the chart.
To integrate family medicine billing into your CHR, please send an email to the CARE team at care.emraccounts@telus.com.
For more information, refer to Family Medicine New Brunswick (FMNB).

Fixes
When you click Tasks from the main menu, the date format in the Created at column now correctly reflects the clinic's configured date format in the clinic's Account Information settings.
When other users create tasks in your clinic, they now appear automatically in your task list without requiring a page refresh. New tasks respect your current view and any applied filters, keeping you up-to-date in real time.
When creating or editing user groups, you can use the bulk selection check boxes for All members, Practitioners, and Staff to add multiple team members at once.
When you hover over the three dots beside the phone number in the patient banner of files, faxes or lab results, you can view all available phone numbers for a patient.
When editing permissions for a user or role, the CHR Connect App permission is no longer blank.
For clinics using MHA-PDS, when creating incoming referrals using the MHA-PDS template, the Service Termination Date field now allows you to select future dates, accommodating planned service terminations.
In the Outbox, forced access notifications are now only visible to the user who forced access and any user with access to the restricted item, rather than all users.
When searching for potential duplicate patients, the system now correctly returns duplicate records even when the patient ID is not set as Primary.
When managing saved task views in Settings > Tasks > Saved views, you can now recreate a view with the same name as a previously deleted saved view.
For clinics using role-based access control, users with full appointment permissions and appropriate resource access can now delete group appointments with no patients assigned.
When you open a letter linked to a deleted encounter, you can now save changes to the letter or navigate away from the page without encountering errors.
When attempting to remove a user from a role, the system now displays appropriate error messages if the removal fails, instead of showing a success banner when the operation was unsuccessful.
User groups with no active users can now be deleted successfully without encountering errors.
If you log in with two-factor authentication (2FA) or your username and password while your account is locked, you'll only receive a new unlock email if your previous link expired. If your link is still valid, the system notifies you to use the original email.
When one user creates an encounter from an appointment, the appointment status now updates to Being Seen in real-time for all other users viewing the schedule, without requiring a page refresh.
When multiple options in a multi-select question in a Qnaire have Unselect all enabled, selecting one option no longer auto-selects the other "Unselect all" options.
We fixed two spelling errors when editing referrals. The field label Billing or Reference Number is now correct, and the Comments section shows "acceptance" with the correct spelling when you send a letter.
In the Activity Log, when you update a patient's preferred pharmacy, the log entry now shows “Provider updated preferred pharmacy” instead of “Provider updated”.
📌Note: New CHR versions are released on a regular bi-weekly schedule. However, there are times when a fix is released prior to the next scheduled release. These off-schedule release fixes are documented separately in the off-schedule release notes. Be sure to also view the TELUS Health Connect release notes for related platform updates.
