Logging into provincial integration services (Ontario)

Updated over 2 weeks ago

⚠️ Important: This is currently a beta feature, available to a few CHR beta users in order to test and provide feedback. It will be available to more users once the beta period is complete.

From the CHR, you can easily access provincial integration services such as ClinicalConnect and Ontario's Digital Health Drug Repository (DHDR). You can launch the provincial integration service viewer from a patient's chart and, once you choose a service, log in using your eHealth Ontario ONE ID account. The selected service then opens in a separate viewer window. When you navigate away from the patient's chart in the CHR, log out of the CHR, or close your CHR browser window, the provincial integration viewer closes.

Steps

1. From a patient's chart, click the Launch Ontario Health Services icon.

2. A new browser window opens. When prompted, select your UAO (Under Authority Of) and click Submit.

📌 Note: The UAOs shown below are for testing purposes only; you will not see the same UAOs in your CHR.

3. In the Provincial Integration Service launcher window, verify you are accessing the service for the correct patient and then choose the service from the list.

💡 Tip: If you selected the wrong UAO, click Change UAO to change it.

4. The ONE ID login window appears. Enter your ONE ID login and password, and click Log in.

5. Next, you are prompted for your two-factor authentication. Complete the steps for two-factor authentication for your ONE ID account.

💡 Tip: The CHR remembers your ONE ID login for 8 hours. If you are seeing several patients in a row without logging out of the CHR, you do not need to log into your ONE ID account each time you access the DHDR or OH eForms for a patient. However, you must log into ONE ID again if it has been more than 8 hours, you log out of the CHR or close your CHR browser window.

6. The selected provincial service viewer opens. For more information on using the various integrations, refer to:
