🎞️ View video tutorial: Overview of appointment types and presenting issues for eBooking
Appointment types categorize the services you offer. For example follow up, new patient or annual physical. Appointment types are used to set the administrative information and actions needed for the different kinds of visits.
The different appointment types are assigned to the provider's schedule creating available time slots for internal staff and patients to book. See Setting up provider schedules).
For information on how internal staff can book appointments, see Booking appointments. Or for information on how patients can book, see Overview of eBooking.
Presenting issues can be linked to the different appointment types. When using presenting issues for eBooking, a Reason page is displayed that directs patients to the appointment types linked with that presenting issue. For more information on this and other actions you can do with presenting issues, see Presenting issues.
