User-specific security settings
Updated over a year ago

The TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) has a number of account-wide and user-specific security settings to keep your account and patient data secure. The following security settings complement the role-based user permission.

Each user can configure the following security settings for their personal CHR user account. Any changes affect only your own account.

  • Change your password: Was your password compromised? Change it on a regular basis to keep your account secure. See Changing your password.

  • Choose your two-factor authentication method: No matter your permission level in the CHR, you can enable or disable two-factor authentication for yourself. You can also change how you receive two-factor authentication codes. See Customizing your two-factor authentication method.

  • Set your timeout duration: By default, you must enter you password after 15 minutes of inactivity. You can customize this timeout period. See Setting your personal timeout duration.
