The TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) Homepage is designed to provide you a lighter start to your day. The dashboard provides a concise yet comprehensive overview of the items that you typically need to action first, such as your day's schedule, unsigned encounters and urgent messages. It is also a great way to stay connected with your clinic and field.

So that you can start your day with the Homepage, we suggest making it the default page that opens when you log into the CHR. Refer to Setting your CHR landing page.

To personalize your Homepage, refer to Customizing your Homepage.

In the grey bar at the top, your clinic name, logo and address details show along with today's date and time. Within the main Homepage area, your name and the current weather shows.

📌 Note: If you do not have permission for a specific area of the CHR, the widget is blank and a message is displayed at the top of the Homepage indicating which permission(s) you require.

Description

Today’s overview

Shows an overview of your schedule for the day.

At the top-right corner, a list of all the locations in your clinic shows. By default, the location selected in your profile (avatar > Change Location) is selected.

📌 Note: The information in Today’s overview is for the selected location.

At the top-left corner, you can see your total number of patients for today.

Under the location list, your scheduled hours and off-time show.

📌 Note: Depending on how your schedule is configured, you may see multiple hour blocks. This typically indicates different appointment types.

The main area of Today’s overview shows the Appointment type or Presenting issue graph. Click to switch between them.

All the appointment types or presenting issues for today are listed on the left-hand side, along with the number of scheduled appointments for each of them.

📌 Notes:

  • The list shows the most frequent items first.

  • Clicking either the graph or the list item highlights the related item on the other side.

  • The list only shows 6 items. If you have more than 6 items scheduled, the least common items show together in an Other category.

At the bottom, First patient of the day shows. This area is helpful when you first log in. Details for your first appointment appear, with a countdown.

Public health feed

Shows posts for the public health feeds that you subscribe to, for example Canada Public Health Updates. This allows you to easily stay updated on what is going on in your health network.

The public health network’s logo, post title and published date appear along with an article summary.

Click the post to read the full article on the official public health website.

💡 Tip: To choose what feeds display, refer to Customizing your Homepage.

Referrals

Shows your selected Referrals folders with preset filters, for example the Incoming referrals with a Requested status.

The age of the oldest referral and the number of referrals in that folder also show.

📌 Note: All referrals are included in these numbers, not only ones assigned to you.

Click the referral type to open that referral folder with the filters already set.

Click See all to open the main Referrals section with no filters set.

💡 Tip: To change what folders display, refer to Customizing your Homepage.

Shortcuts

Redirects you to important sections of the CHR. It is a great way to start your day, and ensure that all important tasks are completed.

The following Shortcuts appear with a counter of the related items:

  • Urgent messages opens the Inbox section.

  • Appointment requests opens the Schedules section. All clinic appointment requests show.

  • Unsigned encounters opens the My Unsigned Encounters patient folder.

📌 Note: If there are more than 30 unsigned encounters, urgent messages or appointment requests, the count on the badge displays 30+ instead of the exact count.

Your stats

Shows your core statistics, such as:

  • Patients treated this year

    • The number of completed appointments you are assigned to. A patient with multiple appointments is counted once.

  • Completed Qnaires this month

    • Only Queries assigned to you.

  • Your most popular diagnoses in the past 30 days.

Photo

Add a photo to personalize your Homepage.

📌 Note: The file type must be JPG or PNG and the maximum file size is 400x400 pixels.

💡 Tips:

Bulletin board

Is used to view and share clinic information that does not require a response or acknowledgment. It acts as a digital version of a bulletin board, for example, sharing that a new employee has joined the clinic.

The most recent post shows along with the author's name, position and the date they posted.

📌 Note: You must have the Clinic Bulletin Board permission to create a post. For more information, refer to Posting messages on the Homepage Bulletin Board.
