Improvements
Selecting non-consecutive dates in schedule templates
You can now apply flexible schedule templates and vacation schedule templates to non-consecutive dates in the schedule. For example, a provider might offer specialized services or clinics that only occur on specific days of the month or at irregular intervals.
In Settings > Scheduling > Templates, select the template and click +Dates. When you click Non repeating dates, a calendar appears, and you can select random dates. Click Select to add these dates to your schedule template.
Updated interface when creating appointment types
📌Note: TELUS Health must manually enable this feature following the release. It could take up to 24 hours before you see the functionality.
When you create or edit an appointment type, the interface in Settings > Scheduling > Appointment Type now presents an updated design that separates general appointment settings from online booking configurations.
The General tab is focused on basic appointment properties. Short and long description fields are relocated to this tab and are disabled until a name for the appointment type is entered. If you use Pathways, the Auto-assign workflow phase is now a toggle.
The new Online Booking tab is focused on booking appointments online. This tab consolidates settings previously found in the General tab, including Types of Patient Allowed to Book, Minimum Booking Notice, Maximum Booking Notice, Default Status From Patient, and The Appointment Can Be Booked With. Practitioner search at patient registration step and Auto assigning appointment time now appear as toggles instead of radio buttons. Conditions, once a standalone tab, is also now found in this tab.
Your existing appointment types remain unchanged and automatically display in the new interface.
Adding or removing dosage lines when editing medications
When editing patient medications, in the Modify medication window, you can now add or remove dosage lines. When you add or modify dose type in the Dose field, you can now only select the type from a list.
Deleting facilities from the details page view in contacts
You can now remove facilities directly while viewing facility details. When you open Contacts from the main menu and search for and select a facility, the facility details window now displays a trash can icon in the top right corner, next to the existing pencil icon. You can delete the facility directly from this window saving you time by not having to scroll through a potentially long list of facilities.
Redesigned patient search interface when assigning inbox documents
📌Note: TELUS Health must manually enable this feature following the release. To ensure a smooth transition, this feature will gradually be made available over the next several weeks.
When searching for a patient from your Inbox, for example when you assign an incoming document to a patient chart, you now see a more modern and intuitive search interface. Changes include a cleaner layout and easy access to patient information by hovering over the patient’s name to view the demographics snapshot.
Additionally, when assigning a patient to a document, you no longer need to confirm the action.
In the Search for a patient window, type the patient's name or other identifying information to find them. Then select the appropriate patient from the list and click Attach.
CHR Connect: Managing your TELUS CHR Connect subscription
TELUS Health offers two levels of CHR Connect subscriptions: Basic and Pro. The Basic subscription is included with your CHR. The Pro subscription, priced at $35 per provider per month, offers additional features. If you have purchasing authority, you can easily switch between the Basic and Pro CHR Connect plans.
From the main menu, click Add on. The CHR Connect window opens and you can view the CHR Connect plans. At the top of the window, you see your active plan. Click Show detailed plan comparison to compare the different plans to find the right one for your clinic.
For more information, refer to Managing your TELUS CHR Connect subscription.
CHR AI-powered: Enhanced provider name searching
The CHR AI-powered inbox management feature now recognizes various provider name formats, including professional titles (such as Dr. or MD), nicknames (like Bob for Robert), and different name combinations (with or without middle names or initials). These improvements help ensure more reliable provider matching when processing your incoming documents, reducing the need for manual corrections.
📌 Note: There is a monthly fee for this feature based on usage. Contact the TELUS Health Sales team for more information (refer to Contact us).
Fixes
Below is a list of bugs we have identified and fixed in this release. For more information, contact our TELUS Health support team.
When you manually enter lab results in a patient’s chart, the accession number now appears on the lab report.
When lab reports do not include a collected date, the lab results no longer appear with the current date in Latest Lab Results.
When you start a patient visit from Pathways and paste an image into the encounter, it no longer also appears in the pathways Chat and is not sent to the patient.
When you snooze a message addressed to multiple users, the Snoozed Until date remains visible in the Messages section of the patient chart when users unsubscribe from the message thread.
When you cancel or reject an appointment, the original cancellation or rejection date is correctly recorded even if the appointment is modified later for other reasons, like adding a note.
When you change a presenting issue in a booked appointment, the system now removes any pre-visit Qnaires associated with the original presenting issue and adds the Qnaires associated with the newly-selected presenting issue.
When you configure a Qnaire question to save the response to patient data, in the patient chart, the last updated date shows the correct date and the value is recorded in the history, even if the value is unchanged.
When you create a referral that was originally a .bmp file from your Inbox, the PDF is generated without an error.
When adding a form in a patient chart, in the Select Form Template window, form names are now properly centered and aligned with their icons.
If you have French enabled in your CHR, in Settings > Templates > Updates, French form names are now properly spaced and no longer overlap with adjacent text.
When you modify medications, in the Modify medications window, in the Dose field when you add the dose type, you can no longer add free text and only select a type from the list.
For clinics with the medical directive feature enabled, if there is no medical directive configured for a user, when they create a prescription the provider from the patient's first appointment of the day is no longer set as the default supervising provider.
📌 Note: New CHR versions are released on a regular bi-weekly schedule. However, there are times where a fix is released prior to the next scheduled release. These off-schedule release fixes are documented in the separate off-schedule release notes.
