⚠️ Important: Patients' mobile device systems should be up to date. They must be using iOS 13 or later, or Android 24 (7.0) or later to use the TELUS CHR Connect app. CHR Connect can also be accessed on a computer via a web browser at chrconnect.telushealth.com.

Version 24.22 - December 20, 2024

  • The CHR Connect invitation email sent to patients now expires after 14 days instead of 7 days.

  • When patients have pre-visit Qnaires to complete before an appointment, a Qnaire icon appears on the appointment tile on the CHR Connect homepage. They can click this icon to start the Qnaires.

  • Patients can now add dependants to a group visit they are attending.

  • Patients can book an appointment for their dependant if the dependant satisfies the appointment type conditions.

  • Patients can enter a phone number for their dependants again.

  • If a patient signs up to CHR Connect using an Apple account, when they add a dependant or update the dependant’s profile, their Apple email address is no longer saved as the dependant’s email address.

  • Patients are able to save their dependants’ profile when updating their address by selecting the Same as mine checkbox.

  • The Messages section has been redesigned for an improved user experience.

  • Patients no longer get an error when paying a bill the first time they log in to CHR Connect.

  • The indicator that the camera is in use no longer remains active after a patient leaves a virtual visit.

  • We’ve added a new section to the Home page where patients can see broadcasts from your clinic. For more information refer to Sending CHR Connect campaigns to patients.

  • The menu on the right-hand side has been updated. Patients can now easily change the app language. As well, the Profile(s) section is now accessed via this menu.

  • Patient messages with only attachments now clearly state that there is no text.

  • Patients can once again Confirm or Decline an appointment with a Qnaire that is in a Confirmation Required status.

  • Invoices visible on CHR Connect now include any Discounts, Refunds or payments that you make to the bill in the Continue Payment window. As well, the total is changed to Amount Due.

  • If your clinic uses eClaims and you have View Billing enabled, patients can now view Insured Billing eClaims that are paid in full. Insured billing items appear in the Paid section of the Billing page. Patients can click to see the payment details, and request a PDF copy of the invoice.

  • We are excited to introduce our patient-facing support chatbot. Patients can access it by selecting the Support button within the app when they need help.

  • We fixed various audio/video issues that were occurring in virtual visits.

  • We’ve improved the login process by prompting patients with their preferred signup method when launching the app.

  • We now detect if patients have previously created an account, and will prompt them to log in to their existing account.

  • When adding clinics and adding child profiles, we’ve reduced the required information patients need to fill out to more closely match their patient chart.

  • We’ve updated the consent checks across the app when adding family members.

  • If patients have previously rated our app, we will no longer ask them to leave a rating again when they log in.

  • We fixed the biometrics login not responding properly after the app had been running in the background for over an hour.

  • When patients add a clinic to their CHR Connect account, we now require that the provided email is valid and is not a hidden email address. This is to ensure that communications can send correctly.

  • We added a note to the file attachments in Messages to help clarify where patients can find their downloaded files on their device.

Improvements

  • We’ve made improvements to the CHR Connect invitations sent out to patients. Patients will benefit from improved security, error messaging, and overall flow to facilitate the sign-up process.

  • We’ve updated fields in the Profile page and family management’s Add a child section to Sex at birth and Gender. We have also clarified the messaging in the informational tooltips for these fields. The messaging is now more inclusive.

  • We’ve made updates to the flow when patients add a new clinic. Patients can indicate when they’ve previously visited the clinic, and subsequent messaging has been improved to better clarify if we are unable to match them with an existing patient file at the clinic.

  • On the desktop version of CHR Connect, patients can now navigate through the sign-up page and menus using only their keyboard, making these pages more accessible for screen reader users.

  • We fixed an error that was displayed when opening a message link from a notification email or SMS.

  • Additional web accessibility has been added to the desktop version of CHR Connect. In the Billing section, patients can now easily navigate through interactive elements using their keyboard.

  • Patients will no longer see a black screen when leaving a virtual visit.

  • If a patient cancels or declines their spot in a group visit, this spot will in turn become available to other patients.

Improvements

  • The Personal information section on the Profile page is now automatically collapsed. This ensures better visibility of the Manage family section, making it easier for users to access and manage family member details efficiently.

  • Adding a child to a user's account is now accompanied with a help article.

  • The patient's name is now displayed across all relevant sections, including Upcoming Appointments and Unread Messages on the Home page.

  • The loading page no longer stalls when patients are connecting to a clinic.

  • We've resolved an error that occurred when making changes to the Profile.

  • We've resolved an issue where patients were repeatedly prompted to enable biometrics, and preferences were not saved correctly. Now, the biometrics feature functions seamlessly, providing a smoother user experience.

  • Patients signing up for a CHR Connect account no longer need to accept the terms and conditions twice. This improvement reduces unnecessary steps during the signup process.
