You can use the TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) Connect app to connect with your clinic and provider. TELUS CHR Connect enables you to:
Connect with new providers in your area.
View your demographics.
Update your gender identity or preferred pronouns, if required.
View, change and manage upcoming and historical appointments.
Communicate with your clinic via our secure messaging system, including sending and receiving images and other attachments.
Attend secure Virtual visits with your provider. For more information, refer to Attending virtual visits through TELUS Collaborative Health Record Connect.
You can access CHR Connect via the app (cell phone or tablet) or on our website (computer).
On your cell phone or tablet, download TELUS CHR Connect from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
On your computer, navigate to https://chrconnect.telushealth.com.
💡 Tip: Bookmark the URL for easy access, click the star icon in your browser.
Setting up TELUS CHR Connect
Open TELUS CHR Connect.
If this is your first time accessing TELUS CHR Connect, at the bottom of the login screen, select Sign Up.
📌 Note: If you've accessed TELUS CHR Connect before (even if it was for another clinic) log in using your previously set credentials. If you've forgotten your password, select Forgot Password. Once you've logged in, you can then add this clinic to your account and switch to the new clinic.
3. On the Sign Up screen, fill in your email address and create your unique TELUS CHR Connect password.
4. Select Sign Up. A confirmation email is sent to you when your TELUS CHR Connect account is successfully created.
💡 Tip: Alternatively, you can also sign in with your Google or Apple account.
5. Open the confirmation email, and select the Confirm your email address button.
📌 Note: The email is from firstname.lastname@example.org.
6. A new window opens letting you know the Email confirmed successfully. For added security, you must confirm your phone number. Type your phone number into the Phone number field and select Verify.
📌 Note: If using the app, you must do this on the same mobile device. The phone number does not need to match the one you have on file at your clinic.
7. You receive a code via text message. Copy the numeric code into TELUS CHR Connect, and the app opens.
Connecting with your clinic and provider
When you first sign up for TELUS CHR Connect you are presented with the Add Clinic screen. Use the Search clinic by address or name field to search for your clinic.
💡 Tip: Select Map to search for a clinic by location. This can be helpful if you are looking for a new clinic. Select List to return to the main Add clinic screen.
If you do not need to verify the clinic location, select the + icon beside the clinic name. A new Connect to clinic name screen opens.
To verify the location of a clinic, select the clinic name. A map opens, showing all the clinic locations. Select the location pin, and then select +Add clinic.
Type the required information about yourself in the appropriate fields.
Select Connect. The appointments section of TELUS CHR Connect opens.
If you are already a patient at the clinic, TELUS CHR Connect links with your patient profile at the clinic.
💡 Tip: If you cannot connect, contact your clinic to verify you are adding your information the same way they have it on file.
If you are a new patient, a New Patient window opens, and click Register.
