The TELUS Health Collaborative Health Record (CHR), offers three patient-focused interfaces: eBooking, the patient portal and the patient app. Using any of these interfaces, you can collaborate and engage with your patients, allowing them to play a more active role in their care.

The eBooking tool is mainly used by patients to book appointments online. Patients can use eBooking to register at your clinic.

To allow your patients to use the eBooking tool you have to enable it per appointment type. You can "turn eBooking on" by setting your clinic's appointment types to allow eBooking for both new and existing patients.


  1. From the main menu, click Settings > Scheduling > Appointment Type tab.

  2. In the list, click an appointment type. The Edit Appointment Type window opens.

  3. Under Types of patients allowed to book, select the New Patients and Existing Patients checkboxes (or clear if you want to disabled eBooking).

  4. Click Save.

  5. Repeat step 3 to step 5 for each appointment type.
