Differences between eBooking, the patient portal and the CHR Connect app
Updated over a week ago

TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) offers three patient-facing interfaces: eBooking, the patient portal, and the CHR Connect app. You can collaborate and engage with your patients using these tools, allowing them to play a more active role in their care.

These three interfaces are integrated within the CHR and allow patients to view their demographic information, request appointments, receive automated reminders and complete qnaires.

Patients can also send and receive messages using the patient portal and CHR Connect.

For more information on each interface, see:

Review the tables below to compare capabilities for each interface and determine which one best suits your needs.

You can enable eBooking per appointment type.

Only the TELUS CHR Support account can enable the patient portal. Contact TELUS CHR Support Team to enable the patient portal for your clinic. See Enabling the patient portal.

💡 Tip: Once enabled, you can disable/enable it on a per patient basis.

To add the Connect app to your CHR, contact the TELUS Health support team through the in-app support bubble. See Contact us.

Once Connect has been added to your account, all patient notifications direct patients to download and use the app.

Alternatively, patients can also download the app and link their account with your clinic. Refer to Setting up TELUS CHR Connect (for patients).
