You can send customized and automated appointment notifications to patients via email or text messages.

📌 Note: We recommend using email notifications. Use text messages only for unique cases. For more information, see SMS (Text) Overage Fees Update.

Steps

1. From the main menu, click Settings > Notifications.

📌Note: By default, Patients notifications are displayed.

2. To setup a specific notification, in the General tab, click Default for either EMAIL or SMS.

Based on your selection, the Customize Email Notification or Customize SMS Notification window displays.

3. To customize a notification, refer to the following table:

Field

Description

Email Title

Input your email title.

Patient Actions

Include links to Qnaires to be sent to patients.

Location Information

Include the clinic location that patients will be seen at.

Appointment Actions

Include a link to patient's appointment booking.

💡 Tips:

  • To add variables to the message body, click Add Variable and select the desired variable from the list.

  • You can also customize patient notifications by appointment type:

    • Click the By Appointment Type tab and select the desired appointment type.

      Notifications for the selected appointment type are shown.

      Following the steps above, you can customize notifications for the selected appointment types.

4. Click Save. The message is saved and Customized is displayed next to the notification you just configured.
