Adding a new provider (New Brunswick)
Updated over a month ago

⚠️ Important: This is currently a beta feature. It will be available once the beta period is complete.

When a new provider joins your clinic, the setup process involves a collaborative effort between your clinic's administration, TELUS Health, and the provider.

Before beginning this process, both your clinic and each provider must first register by contacting TELUS Health. We then perform the clinic activation and configure TELUS CHR accordingly.

📌 Note: There is a charge for each provider who uses the TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR). New providers will be automatically included in your TELUS CHR account bill going forward. For more information, refer to Understanding your CHR account bill.

Adding a new provider in the CHR involves the following tasks:

📌 Note: Any steps labelled as TELUS Health are for reference only.

  1. Inviting the user (administrator).

  2. Signing up for CHR (provider accepts email invitation).

  3. Assigning a role and permissions to the new user (administrator).

  4. Setting up the provider's schedule (administrator or provider).

  5. Completing the eHealthNB EMR Integration Access Request form to request EHR Clinical Viewer (ECV) access (TELUS Health).

  6. Integrating with New Brunswick Medicare Claims Entry (MCE) (TELUS Health). Provide TELUS Health with the provider's name, account number, physician number, skill code, location of service and any additional settings by location.
